Capturing a Swarm with the Interceptor Honey Bee Swarm Trap! 🐝✨

Swarm season is in full swing! Today, I caught and relocated a honey bee swarm right from my backyard using the Interceptor Honey Bee Swarm Trap. In fact, there were two swarms settling into my carambola tree, a clear sign that it’s time to start catching swarms!

By capturing your own swarms, you can:
Build strong, local colonies adapted to your environment
Save money by avoiding the cost of buying bees
Support pollination for your garden and local ecosystem
Harvest raw, local honey from healthy, self-sustaining bees
Prevent swarms from settling in unwanted places

After catching them, I moved both swarms into hive boxes where they’ll have a safe place to grow. If you're into beekeeping or thinking about starting, swarm trapping is one of the best ways to expand your apiary naturally!
